Corsair Heard You Say Bigger Is Better

There is one thing that immediately looks different about the Corsair Frame 5000D RS, the motherboard tray looks like a peg board!  It is attached by four screws so you can easily remove it to make CPU installation a lot easier and the design offers an almost ridiculous amount of compatibility.  The case can handle everything from Mini-ITX to E-ATX, or the equivalent BTF motherboard if that’s your jam. It also has cut-outs for ASUS Back to the Future, MSI Project Zero, and GIGABYTE Project Stealth builds.  There are eight card slots, so you will run out of PCIe lanes before you run out of space and it stands (D) 556mm x (W) 250mm x (H) 542mm (21.9 x 9.8 x 20.6″) so it should be compatible with just about any GPU and impressively tall CPU tower coolers.

The cooling of the Frame 5000D RS is enhanced by a new mesh design which increases airflow compared to the 4000D, with three 140mm fans preinstalled in the front and a 140mm on the back.  You can swap out the front fans with a pair of 200mm fans or up to a 360mm radiator, the top offers space for three 120/140mm fans or a 420mm rad, the side offers another three 120/140mm or a 360mm rad, the PSU shroud fits another pair of 120mm fans as does the bottom of the case.  That’s a total of 14 fans, but don’t worry as the case weighs in at 28lbs when empty so it won’t fly away if you fill it full of fans running at 100!

The Corsair Frame 5000D RS ARGB retails for $200US, or get the RGB-less model for $190US, so it isn’t even that expensive.  Check out TweakTown’s review, and KitGuru took a look at it which you can check out below the fold.
