What we like about this Thermaltake LCGS Reactor gaming PC
RTX 5070 graphics card
The RTX 5070 is an excellent card for gaming in 1440p at high settings and high framerates. This is a good option for those who want more VRAM than the 5060, but still want to keep costs below the $2000 mark. While we haven’t reviewed this particular RTX 5070, we have reviewed an overclocked ASUS variant, which we can use to give you a rough idea of what to expect. With Cyberpunk 2077, for instance, it managed 72fps at 1080p, 45fps at 1440p, and 21fps at 4K at Ultra settings with ray tracing on. That’s pretty impressive if you ask us, and that’s not even with DLSS and MFG, where you can enhance this performance even further.
Intel Core i9-14900KF
The Intel Core i9-14900KF is a seriously impressive processor, and one that could easily be paired with some of the very best graphics cards on the market. It boasts 24 cores and 32 threads, with a high 125W TCP, super-fast 6GHz boost clock, and large 36MB L3 cache. For gaming, it’s a powerhouse, but it also excels at multi-threaded performance, too. DDR5 RAM
This PC goes pretty hard with the amount of RAM, giving you a substantial 32GB. This is going to be great if you’re running multiple applications or working with large data sets, but it’s also going to give you a much more responsive feel when using this PC. In terms of speed, it’s DDR5, so it’s around twice as fast as your traditional DDR4. It comes in at 6000MHz, which may be common, but it’s not always the case with PCs under $2000. That’s a big win if you ask us, especially for the price.
Who’s this deal for?
If you’re looking for something excellent for 1440p, but want to keep costs under $2000, then this is a very good option to go for. What’s unique about this PC is that it packs a seriously high-end processor that will be excellent for both gaming and productivity or creative workflows. If you’re a content creator, this is an excellent processor to use.
In terms of pricing, as you can see from the graph above, it’s dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon. We’d say that this is a very good deal as the original $2,099.99 price tag is bang on the money, considering its processor and amount of RAM. It’s a great deal, from a well-known brand, and well worth considering in our opinion.
