Hear And See What Brown Can Do For You

The RTX 5080 Noctua OC Edition finally got a review and boy is it impressive!  You will hear noise levels peaking at 29-30 dBA with your GPU at be a comfortable 65C to 70C when going full out.  That is less noise than many case fans, and it’s cooling an RTX 5080 hitting a boost clock reaching of around 3100MHz.  The three 120 mm NF-A12 fans come on a card with a base boost clock of 2700 MHz and an OC mode that targets it at 2730 MHz, not a huge factory overclock but still about 100MHz above stock.

Guru 3D manged to get more out of it with Afterburner, but couldn’t get the card above 3.1Ghz. They did mange to boost the memory from 30Gbps to 34 Gbps which also adds to the performance.   You have to pay for the silence though, the Noctua OC Edition will likely be listed at $1500, and that’s before the ridiculous markups we’ve seen for far too long.  That is a heavy price to pay.
