Corsair Vengeance a8200 Gaming PC – Liquid Cooled AMD Ryzen 9 9900X CPU

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU – 64GB Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 Memory – 2+2TB M.2 SSD – Black

What we like about this Corsair Vengeance a8200 gaming PC

Amazing card for 1440p and 4K gaming

This PC has the excellent RTX 5080 graphics card, which is one of the best price-to-performance graphics cards you can get in the 50-series. It boasts 10752 CUDA cores, 16GB of next-gen GDDR7 VRAM, 256-bit bus, 2295 base and 2617 boost clock, and a 360W power draw. It’s built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, which is equipped with advanced Tensor Cores that can be used with all things AI, and there’s improved ray tracing, too. In terms of performance, the RTX 5080 excels at 1440p at ultra settings, and can hit triple digits with frame rates with ease, even with ray tracing. For 4K, it handles very demanding titles very well, too, and can hit triple digits most of the time, depending on how demanding the title is and whether you’re using ray tracing or not. DLSS and MFG can significantly boost these numbers, though, and the results are seriously impressive.

Versatile and powerful AMD CPU

While it may not be the most common processor found paired with the RTX 5080, the Ryzen 9 9900X gives you something very versatile for gaming, productivity, and creative tasks, and makes for a good alternative to the likes of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is very much tailored primarily for gaming performance. The 9 9900X has a higher core thread count than your typical X3D model (12 cores, 24 threads), which makes it better for multitasking, but it still has a very high boost clock speed of 5.6GHz and a large 64MB L3 cache, which will be great for gaming and reducing frame latency. It’s also a good processor to keep overall build costs a little lower, as it was released back in August 2024, so the price has come down a bit since. That being said, it’s still a brilliant CPU to have in a high-performance build.

Amazing RAM offering

Since this is a Corsair build, you’ve got its own DDR5 Dominator Platinum RGB RAM here, which is up there with some of the very best you can get. Not only does it look the part with its eleven individually addressable LEDs, but there’s also 64GB of it, which is going to be great for keeping your system running smoothly, even with multople applications going at the same time.

Corsair cooling and PC case

This build is housed in a Corsair 5000T mid-tower ATX case, which is roomy enough to facilitate airflow, but isn’t so big that you can have it on your desktop. It features a tempered glass window, so you can check out all the high-end components that make up this PC, too, which we’re big fans of. And speaking of fans, you’ve got a very impressive Corsair cooling system here. This PC features iCue Link Titan 240 RX RGB Liquid cooling and seven RGB fans to increase airflow. That’s great, as the Ryzen 9 9900X has a high TDP of 120W, but can get up to 170W at full load.

Who should get this deal?

Corsair PCs, as mentioned, are some of the higher-end, more premium options on the market, and they can command a higher price due to the overall build quality and standard of components used, many of them being from Corsair itself. Yes, you could find something similarly specced for less; however, if build quality and aesthetics are just as important to you as performance, then this is a great PC to go for. For gaming, it’s everything you need for 4K, and it’ll also handle content creation and heavy multitasking, thanks to the more versatile Ryzen 9 9900X CPU selection.

How will this PC perform?

For this, we can use our own review of an RTX 5080 to give you an idea of what to expect in terms of performance. As usual, we’ll use a couple of benchmarks at ultra settings with and without ray tracing. The RTX 5080 hit 72fps at 4K and 34 fps with ray tracing. Doom Eternal hit 265fps at 4K, and 191fps with ray tracing. And Indiana Jones: The Great Circle was playable at 128fps at 4K. With DLSS and MFG, these go way higher, which shows just how impressive the RTX 5080 is when it comes to pure rasterization.
