Clearly, the launch of the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 was not a great success. In fact, the Greens did not plan to stock enough cards, particularly the 5090, of which only a few dozen units were available, depending on the shop. In short, it’s time to think about what’s next, with the RTX 5070, due for launch in February. The RTX 5060 (Ti) is due to arrive in March.

RTX 5060 (Ti): a March launch according to a Chaintech slide!

The news comes via the X account of @wxnod, which shares a screenshot of a slide apparently from Chaintech. The slide shows a roadmap of the Chameleon’s RTX 50 launches. So, in January, we had the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, 5090D in the case of China and countries under US sanctions. Then, in February, we can expect the launch of the 70 series with the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti. Incidentally, this seems to coincide with the VideoCardz leaks on the subject.

However, although up until now rumours suggested that the 60 series would be launched in the second quarter, it would appear that it will arrive earlier than expected. In fact, according to the slide, we’re talking about a March launch.

Unfortunately, we won’t have any further information about the characteristics of the cards. However, an initial registration with the EEC seems to indicate 8GB and 12GB memory configurations. We also expect these cards to use a GB206 GPU with a 128-bit memory bus, like the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti. However, using GDDR7 would increase memory bandwidth to 448 GB/s instead of 288 GB/s for the RTX 4060 Ti.

Of course, we still need to know the retail price, which has not been communicated by NVIDIA. However, it should be remembered that the 4060 was officially launched at $299, while the 4060 Ti 8GB was priced at $399, compared with $499 for its 16GB counterpart. So it’s clear that if the greens offer a 16GB 5060 Ti at equivalent prices, consumers will prefer to go for the RTX 5070 with its 12GB of VRAM and price of $549!
