It’s Been A Long Time Since We’ve Seen A SAPPHIRE Motherboard
If you’re a bit long in the tooth you may recall some old SAPPHIRE motherboards, which were well designed and often more aesthetically pleasing than many of the competitions offerings. This SAPPHIRE NITRO+ B850A WIFI 7 is a standard-sized ATX motherboard with one PCIe 5.0 x4 slot, two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, and 4 legacy SATA ports. There are three M.2 slots, of which one is PCIe 5.0 and the rest 4.0. They do not currently support RAID but SAPPHIRE will be added in a forthcoming BIOS update.
The FPS Review was very impressed with the UEFI design; no silly extras added, just what you need to be able to tweak your motherboard to get what you want out of it.  The placement of the M.2 ports wasn’t perfect but all three have heatsinks which is a huge plus on a motherboard costing less than $200. On the other hand, the USB ports are a little sparse, especially the lack of a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 20Gbps port. That does make it odd SAPPHIRE chose to brand this as a NITRO+ product, which is usually reserved for their high end product lines.
The performance was everything you would want and the features will be a perfect match for some. Check out the entire review here.
