MSI is planning to launch a new range of graphics cards. This time, the brand is tackling its entry-level offering with a new Ventus series. However, this new series will be entirely black, meaning that the silver hues will be replaced by much simpler, more discreet cards: the Ventus Black.
Ventus Black: all-black cards!
As you can see, the black versions of the Ventus series can be seen in the photos. Here, the cards benefit from an all-black fairing, unlike the regular series, which mixes silver-grey and black. The same applies to the backplate, although there are some white markings with the brand’s logo. In any case, this series should concern RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Ti. Only the RTX 5070 Ti is expected to come with an x3 fan, while the other two cards will be dual-fan models. In terms of footprint, this series remains reasonable, with a maximum thickness of around 2.5 slots. Gone are the MSI Suprim-style triple-slot bricks – that’s not the bus here. As for frequencies, our colleague makes a few assumptions. In fact, he indicates that the RTX 5060 Ti should have a boost frequency of 2617 MHz, compared with 2557 MHz for the RTX 5070. Finally, the RTX 5070 Ti could reach 2497 MHz. As for connectivity, all three models feature three DisplayPort connectors and one HDMI output. As far as the power connector is concerned, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 will use a 12V-2×6, while the RTX 5060 Ti will remain with an 8-pin PCIe, at least that’s what the visuals of the card show. All that remains is to determine the price, which has not, of course, been communicated.
